This easy and delicious green goddess dressing hits all the high notes: creamy, herby, tangy, and just the right bit of spice. This spicy green goddess dressing is so good you’ll have it on repeat for all your summer salads or use it as a healthy, yummy, and tantalizing dip for fresh cut veggies! Because let’s be honest, there is nothing better than a flavorful dressing packed full of fresh herbs, aromatics, and lots of lemon!

Why Paleo?
With so many lifestyle options, why did I choose to make this Green Goddess dressing Paleo and Whole30 friendly?
1. Sugar. Refine white sugar (white beet sugar) has a few characteristics that I find undesirable, so I avoid it at all costs.
- GMO: white beets or sugar beets are genetically modified to be herbicide resistant and grown with glyphosates (RoundUP)
- Ultra Refine: sugar beets are highly refine to produce the sugar products used in so many foods: condiments, cereals, snacks, breads, candies and more.
2. Organic. By choosing to make my own dressings at home, I am able to choose the quality of the ingredients that go into it. Choosing ingredients such as unsweetened coconut yogurt, loads of fresh herbs, and more I know that what I am serving my family is the cleanest, most nutritionally dense food I can.
3. Whole Food Ingredients: Processed and ultra refined foods such as sugar, salt, flours and oils are inflammatory to the body and are void of nutrients. The refinement process eliminates the bioavailable nutrients in these foods and although some of these foods have been “fortified” (where the food companies try to add the nutrients back in) these are typically synthetic and are not as available to the body and are not absorbed.
Choosing minimally processed ingredients maintains nutrient density, is more bioavailable to the body, and is does not have the inflammatory properties ultra refined foods do.
So grab your ingredients and let’s make some spicy Paleo Green Goddess dressing!
I eat a salad almost every single day, it is one of my favorite ways to get lots of nutrient dense veggies in. And the one thing that I love to do to keep things fresh and exciting is make my own salad dressings. I came up with this rich and beautiful spicy green goddess dressing for a chopped chicken Cobb salad I was craving and honestly, it is a match made in heaven! I have fallen in love with this dressing and probably make it at least 2-3x a month for all my salads as well as a delicious sauce over grilled chicken, steak, or shrimp!
